Light

I've recently upgraded my phone to the iPhone 6 and have been really impressed with the improvements over the 5, so much so that if you follow my twitter or Facebook, you may have seen an increase in iPhone picture postings. This improved camera, coupled with my plans to sell off some of my older equipment to aid adding a lightweight system based on the Fuji cameras led me to wondering if I still need the X100 as my "walkaround" camera. (It's a Mk1 and has been quite overtaken by the latest versions).

So early this morning I was looking out at a grey sky with the feeling that if I went for a walk the clouds would make way and some great light would be the result. I took the X100 (as I have not used it that much in these situations recently) just to see if I was happy with the results and wether I should move it on ....

I was not disappointed by my "light hunch", it was the kind of light that gets me excited (ok, I'm weird). In fact I would go so far as saying if you are a photographer and this kind of light does not get you excited, it's time to sell the cameras and move on.....

So the question is, could my Fuji light-weight deal with the light?
